The Power of Positive Thinking

If you were told you had to go with one of two people and stay with them for a day which would you pick?

The positive, optimistic, and uplifting person who has only kind words to say and attracts like people OR the negative, pessimistic, and draining person who cannot find anything nice to say about anyone including themselves?

Are you around people who dwell on their ailments or problems? Surely you feel like you are smothering around these people.

It seems like the sun is shining brightly around people who are obviously holding their heads high and smiling. They find things good to say about everything and everyone.

It is not that hard to be a positive thinking person, really. You have to stay persistent in catching yourself when are thinking of something and stopping yourself before you say it.

I am hearing people, including my kids say they want friends and no one likes them. Well, what are you projecting to others? If you are sulking in self pity, dwelling on negative issues there is your reason!

Changing doesn't happen overnight. You have to continuously work on yourself. Remember that no one or anything for that matter can change you. We all have choices.

You have goals but you are feeling like they are impossible to reach. Keep thinking that way and they will be impossible. Blocking the path to reaching your goals is a great way to stand in one place and become stagnant.

Change your thoughts to good ones all of the time. Something happens during the day quickly stop yourself and immediately think of good things that have left you feeling good. Hold onto them for awhile.

If you are at home or at work write down things that you are grateful for, the good things in your life, or anything else that is positive.

Everyday when you first wake up just lay there for a few minutes and either say outloud or in your mind at least three things you are most grateful for. Expand on it if you wish and go as long as you want. Do this at night for extra strength in training yourself.

Remember that nothing is impossible. As long as you believe it is possible.

As TUT (Mike Dooley) says: Thoughts become things so choose the good ones!
